Ground School Courses
In-Person and online Ground School
If you are beginning your journey to become a pilot, you will want to begin with our Private Pilot Ground School. Avian Flight Center offers an in-person ground school that is live streamed online so you can attend in our classroom or from the comfort of your own home. Our classes are custom tailored and taught by one of our Advanced Ground Instructors to help students learn and retain all of the ground knowledge necessary to obtain a private pilot certificate. If you already have your private pilot certificate, we also offer an Instrument Ground School to learn all of the knowledge necessary to get that additional rating. The ground school instructors send a recording of each class to the students the day after so you can catch up if you need to miss a class.

For the Private Pilot Ground School, we utilize Jeppesen’s kit for Private Pilot ($319.95+tax). Jeppesen’s Private Pilot Part 141 Kit is developed for the FAR Part 141 training programs. This kit contains all the essential training products used to prepare students for the written and practical examinations and the FAR Part 141 tracking and quizzing products.
