The Service Writer / Scheduler will report directly to the Director of Maintenance of Avian Aeronautics. In the absence of a Director of Maintenance, this position will report directly to the General Manager. This position will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform Customer Service-related tasks including answering incoming phone calls, email requests and inquiries, and collecting preliminary information for incoming aircraft and engine jobs.

  • Maintain the job schedule for the airframe shop, including initial intake scheduling, changes to intake schedule, current job schedules, and arranging for pick-up and payment by customers.

  • Facilitate the intake of aircraft and engines as they are scheduled, including ensuring that customers are aware of intake procedures, all intake forms are signed, and keys and logbooks are provided by the customer or otherwise made available.

  • Compiling and tracking reports on expended resources, labor use, parts, and outsourced work for each maintenance job.

  • Keep track of customer and Avian Flight Center logbook’s locations and ensure their security

  • Keep customers informed on expected job completion times, service expenses/quotes, and changes to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance jobs.

  • Build rapport and relationships with a wide variety of customers both internal and external

  • Act as a liaison between customers and clients and the service providers.

  • Assist in maintenance of customer database, including inputting new customer information.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Parts Supervisor with inventory tracking, ordering and sourcing, and customer order taking, invoicing, and shipping.

  • Assist technicians and internal customers with parts orders, quotes, and lead time estimates.

  • Actively participate in and promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment, fostering teamwork across multiple departments

  • Maintain a willingness to learn and grow within the aviation maintenance industry

  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary office environment.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned
